I need tips on how to make an AWESOME pine wood derby car. Great websites would be appreciated too.
get a nice slender, aerodynamic shape to the car...then find out what type of restrictions and regulations the car has to follow... when i made mine, (it was over ten years ago) we drilled a hole in the back (coming from the top of the car, and stacked weights in it. you could cover it up with a puddy or something. i tihnk whe we did mine, we were allowed to put graphite (i think it was graphite..i was really young when we did it so maybe double check) on the wheel axles (our wheels were a metal pin and plastic wheel) this helped them spin faster...lower the friction..remember, since the car can only be a certain weight, the more wood you cut off the more weights you can put it in...put a nice paint job on it and you should be good to go...hope im not forgetting anything
