How do I keep salt water mist off camera lens?
I'm going on vacation and will be taking family photos on the beach- last year a lot of photos came out slightly blurred due to the saltiness of the air. what's the best solution to obtain clear photos while outside near the ocean? Is there a chemical solution or should I just keep a clean rag nearby?

Keep your lens cap on or lens cover closed except when you are focusing/composing and triggering the shutter. Keep your camera in a case when not taking pictures. Use a skylight filter or two. It's easier to clean the filters and, if dirty, in a pinch you can just remove it for a shot. Or, remove it if you don't like filters in front of your $$$ glass. Use a good/brand name lens cleaning solution and tissue or microfiber strips - but don't reuse microfiber cloth. Clean your lens only when needed to preserve the coatings - The filters help with this principle.
