Does anyone know the value of a 1976 Lionel Train Set ?
I have a vintage 1976 "The Black River Freight" Lionel Train Set. It is in its original box, has original instruction sheets, and cardboard scenery pieces.
What you have is a common-as-dirt, bottom of the barrel set from an era of Lionel production that doesn't hold much collector interest at all(many people refer to it as the "dark ages" of Lionel).
At best, it's worth $100, IF AND ONLY IF you can find someone interested.
The other answer it totally incorrect. Some Lionel trains are very valuable-the vast majority were made by the millions and aren't worth much of anything.
