Sydney Sales Training – Learning the Business
If you want to go into sales there is much you have to learn. As with any other industry, you can’t decide to go into sales until you have some sort of training, so that you can understand what the whole process entails. Also, the most important thing to remember, is that you need have some raw sales talent - that is why so many companies look for a “go getter”, a “people’s person”, and all of those other clichés. So, a small percentage of what you do in sales is raw talent. This is exactly the same as in every other industry. You have to know naturally what you are doing, however a large percentage of sales is learnt. This is because there is a process, there are steps you will have to know, and you will have to know a little bit about how the mind works too. You have to know your client and about what he or she wants - you at least have to know the basics.
The first thing you will need to know is that there are many different types of sales skills, and you can either master them all, or you could just choose one and stick with that. It is however, important that you remember, somewhere down the line, you will come to a point where you have to draw on another type of sales skill and if you do not have that resource to help you, you will be a bit stuck and you may lose a sale. The different types of sales are: direct sales, professional or industrial sales, indirect sales, electronic sales, and agency based sales.
With direct sales you will find that you have to be a real people’s person, and you need to know how to buy the trust of the person you are trying to sell your product to. That is the most important part of a sale. If your target does not trust you, you will not get far. You also have to remember that the way you are dressed plays a large part in the trust department - as the saying goes - first impressions last. Once you get the client to smile and to start talking to you, and you know the steps you have to take from there, you basically have a sale - as long as you believe in the product you are selling.
Before you can get to this point however, you will need to do your basic training. If you happen to live in the city of Sydney, you will be happy to know that there are many training facilities and courses that will help you become a better sales person. Once you have completed your training, you will find that there are hundreds of companies looking for a good sales person with a tertiary education in sales and communication. You will be on your way up that corporate ladder in no time!

Why is it that white people who live in the counties Dont know nothing about Subways?
This girl who lives out in the county who is going to NYC she said she cant figure out the diffrent subway lines or how to read a map.
Another person said How do i know which train will go which way so im like WTF? But the black folks know all about how to se subways and public transit and stuff why is this?
It's not about being white or black. Are you even sure that the girl from the country is white? I hate to break the news to you - but some of the most rural places in our country are the blackest. All of Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi and South Carolina are 30%+ black. South Carolina's main industry is agriculture. The only thing they know about subways are the restaurant.
If this is your way of saying white equals country and black equals city, you seem to be making clueless generalizations. Most people who haven't been to NYC take a little time to learn the subway system. I'm sure it's easier for people from other cities or suburbs to adapt. The ''black folks'' don't know anymore than the subways than the ''white folks'' do. In fact, if anything, for socioeconomic reasons, the white's probably know more about subways. Although it's not as disproportional as in cities, white's in rural places have more money than black's. So their more business oriented. They go to college in cities more. So they have more experience and affiliation to there. Maybe the ''black folks'' you're talking to don't live in the country. Go to rural Mississippi and they'll probably be making more jokes about you than their white neighbors.
