Makeup - When you go to a free makeup appointment at a large retail chain store, it is recommended to take in your figure contest suit and even go with a portion of your arm tanned so that the makeup artist can match the foundation to the color of your skin with the tanning product you have on.
Stage Training - this covers a wide array of items like your walk, your smile, and your posing. With regards to your walking, grab those high heel shoes and practice walking in them until it's second nature. If you want to work on your smile, practice standing in front of a mirror and making your smile look natural and radient. In terms of your posing, you need plenty of of practice. You need to learn how to show your muscle definition, while also looking calm, natural, and relaxed. A difficult thing to do indeed. Work with a seasoned competitor or a figure trainer to help you get these things perfected.

I'd like to travel from Zurich to Interlaken to Munich & back (by train). Any suggestions?
I'm an American leaving NYC to Zurich for a 7-day vacation. I'll be traveling by myself with 1 piece of luggage & a backpack. I'm trying to plan a route from Zurich to Interlaken to Munich (and back). Do you think I can do this in 7 days? Any suggestions? I'd like to do by train & just trying to figure out how to order tickets, hotel rooms, etc.

You're about to see one of the most beautiful regions of Europe. The train ride to Interlaken is gorgeous. Check Swiss Rail's Web site, www.sbb.ch, for train schedules and trip lengths. I believe you can also buy your tix online from the site. Be sure to sit upstairs on the double-decker train to see the view. Also check the site for the trains from Interlaken to Munich. You will probably have to disembark, take a ferry across the Bodensee, then pick up a train to Munich in Friedrichshafen on the German side. It sounds a little intimidating but it's real easy, and the trains and ferries are timed so you have plenty of time for transfers. Depending on your budget, I always stay at Balmer's Herberge hostel in Interlaken. They have a chalet next to the youth hostel for older travelers. I have also stayed at the Chalet Hotel Oberland in Interlaken and enjoyed it very much. Balmer's is more personable, though.
