illegal to bring back bottle of absinthe to United States?
I bought a flask of "92%" somethin ABSINTHE in Amsterdam. I brought it on train back to Paris. At the store there were little signs posted on the walls and display cases reading "It is legal to have absinthe in the United States". Now any one can type up a little sign and post it in their shop. Will someone please look into this for me. Can I bring it back to the United States?
Could I take it with me to Italy?
What if its open? As much info as possible and

Real absinthe has an ingredient called thujone.
In the U.S. absinthe cannot have thujone in it. Your bottle will say a percentage thujone, if it contains any.
If it contains none, then it's legal.
