The end of the marriage or the relationship came on a violent which left behind it hurt feelings and emotional pain. my pomchih has a red ear that is apparently very tender?

Time to see the vet.
Have you done the "yeast sniff" test on her? If you know that smell and she has a history of this issue, then it is ok to go ahead and treat it from home. If this is a first time, you need to go to the vet to find out if it is mites, yeast or an infection.
To clear any of those up, she will need meds from the vet and an ear wash.
If it is an infection the only thing that is going to clear it up is antibiotics...
