What are the pros and cons for contracting with KBR to drive a tanker truck in Iraq?
Since there's a huge monetary penalty for leaving the job before the 330 days are up, does KBR find ways to force you to quit or fire you toward the end? How hard is it to get back home if you decide to quit? What additional things are deducted from your pay, if any (even if you stick it out)? How many hours do you work per day? How many days per week? Are the tanker trucks armored sufficiently to protect the driver? Are enough troops sent with the convoy? Do the troops resent putting their lives on the line to protect a private contractor who works for a subsidiary of Haliburton? Anything else I should be aware of? CON: you are really just selling your soul for money. If you want to go to iraq to fight for your country join the service. if you are going to get paid 5 times the amount a soldier is getting paid to do the exact same thing, i will mourn the soldier and not the contractor.
