is it true that Rutland Railway combine 260 built in 1891 is the oldest continuasly operated RR coach in the world.
No it isn't.
I would like to put forward 4-wheeled coaches numbers 1-5 of the narrow gauge Tal-y-Llyn Railway in Wales. These vehicles were constructed between 1866-67 and have been in continuous use ever since.
