Safe Summer Road Trip
One of the best parts of summer is the vacation and holiday time that many are able to enjoy. After waiting all year for that time of relaxation, it only makes sense that you will want to make sure it is the best that it can be. Road trips are always popular for many. There is something so adventurous about a road trip. It has many fun filled components that a trip by plane just does not have. Safety is essential when on a road trip. Planning ahead is necessary for staying organized and making it to your destination without issue.
Always begin your trip by making a checklist of everything that you need to take are of and have done before you leave. This should include everything from doing your laundry to mapping out your route. This type of list can save you a lot of time later and it can prevent forgetfulness that tends to occur in the final days before a trip. Check off the things on your list as you go. Maintaining your car is absolutely essential for a well planned road trip. Make it a point to check in with others and stay safe while out on the road.
Never pick up anyone that you do not know while on your road trip. Hitch hikers are always out and about but that really is not safe for either party. Pass them by and do not put yourself at an unnecessary risk. It just is not worth it to endanger yourself. A road trip is something that should be enjoyed. Do not ruin it for yourself by doing something out of character. Pay attention while on a road trip and always make safety your priority. A safe summer road trip starts at home.

Where to go and what to do on a UK road trip?
I've been inspired by Dave Gorman's book 'Unchained America' and have decided to borrow a friend's camper van and go on a road trip. Ok, it's only gonna be for a couple of days and it'll be in Norfolk, UK or nearby but I'd still love to only use independent businesses! Any suggestions for places to visit? I'd love to find some little unknown treasures that are off the beaten track and nothing like places such as Alton Towers etc.
Just keep spinning round and round and round the M25 until you hit escape velocity then I always go to that lovely place that is east of sun and west of the moon..
