Tips On Buying An Air Mattress On The Market
Have you been looking around for a mattress? Which type are you considering for your home? Here are some important considerations you should look out for.
Air Pump
Made from rubber or plastic, an air mattress is also an inflatable type. You will definitely need an air pump to make it work. The good thing about these sort of home furniture is that you can deflate it and store it for later use. The air pump can come in either manual or electric versions. Whichever air pump you buy, make sure you check its warranty period.
Uses
For those who have guests or decide to go for a camping trip, going for air mattresses would be an ideal choice. Operating like a mobile sleeping, where you can inflate and deflate it, it is economical in space storage. You may be thinking of buying it for your toddler to play on, and our advice is not to do so. This is because it can grow soft and your toddler may be at risk.
Extra Features
Nowadays, manufacturers are smart to add more variety to their range of air mattresses products. For a bit more money, you could be looking at extra features such as built in pillow, remote pump or extra air bladders that come with it. These features are good to have and not necessary. You may want to weigh the conveniences against the added costs. In fact, these features may be over hype by the salesman, so beware.
Foam
An air bed is also meant for short duration of sleep. It is not meant to replace the memory foam or spring mattresses that we are so used to. In a way, comfort is secondary compared to the special storage characteristics that is present. But still, you should buy one that is as comfortable as you can find. In such cases, you should look out for the quality of the foam material, which is easily judged by the top most padding. One suggested form you may be interested in is the "memory foam".
How to save costs?
If you are on a tight budget and do not want to spend too much money buying one, that would not see a high rate of usage, you may want to go for those self-assemble type of air mattress. This can help you save tens of dollars off the shipping costs. However, one hassle is that you need to be hands on enough to assemble them yourself.

Is an air pump totally necessary for my aquarium?
I recently purchased an aquarium kit, but an air pump was not included. On the "You may wish to purchase" section of the box, it listed an air pump, and I was just wondering as to whether or not my goldfish are getting enough oxygen with just the filter alone.
Nope, the short answer is that you probably do not need an air pump
Does the surface water of your tank move? Do you have a filter that creates a sort of waterfall (the Aquaclear ones do)? If it does, then you should be fine. If it is an underwater filter, just make sure that the surface of the water moves a lot. If you have an undergravel filter I recommend getting a different type of filter, as those are usually inadequate for a goldfish.
What sized tank do you have? Goldfish are actually very messy fish, and they also get large so the require more oxygen than smaller fish would. The bubbles of the air pump are not actually what oxygenates the water. Instead, it is the surface disruption the bubbles create when they float to the top.
Unless the surface area of your tank is very small (which it could be if it is a small tank to begin with, or if it is one of those hexagonal ones), and the surface isn't agitated enough, then you don't need an air pump. If you want to get one then it won't hurt anything (I find those bubble walls to be kind of cool in goldfish tanks), but you don't need one.
Just make sure that your tank is big enough for goldfish. Fancy ones can easily reach 6" or more, and comets can get twice that size in a home aquarium. As I also said, goldfish are very messy fish. It is actually a common misconception that they are good for beginners- in reality they need lots of space and frequent water changes to thrive.
Don't let that scare you off- it just means you may have to upgrade your tank eventually, and that you may only be able to keep one or two fish.
