Straight Track Sections
Ceiling Mounted Hoists
Mounting the hoist to the ceiling is usually the preferred method of installation when considering the manual handling of a patient or disabled person. A ceiling mounted hoist has several advantages over alternative lifting methods.
Installing Ceiling Mounted Hoists
Most structures are able to accommodate a ceiling mounted hoist. A variety of solutions are available to assist installation. The following applications are commonplace.
Ceiling Hoist Track Configurations
There are several track layouts to choose from which are determined by the lifting requirements in the room.
Straight tracking is the easiest to install and most cost effective means of hoisting, enabling basic lifting of the user from position to position in a straight line. Adding curved sections to the track permits greater room coverage and increased lifting and repositioning flexibility. For full room coverage the XY system is required. This involves two straight sections of track being fixed adjacent to each other on each side of the room with another track joining the two. The XY hoist track system allows full room coverage and is an increasingly popular choice.
Fixed ceiling hoist features can include:
How much does a ceiling hoist cost?
The cost of a ceiling mounted hoist is determined by a number of factors.
A straight track hoist 3 metres in length and fixed to timber joists, or to a concrete ceiling, would normally cost less than £2000. For a 3 metre x 3 metre XY system the price would normally be between £2500 and £3000.

Microsoft Word 2007 had a bright straight blue line under sections of words?
It does from one end to the other end. It only shows the blue line when I click on certain parts of the text. Nothing happens when I right click. When i try to modify the letters on thatt line, it messes it up. It's not tracking changes.. anyone know what this is?
So what you are saying is, the blue line only appears when you click on, select certain parts of the text. Let's eliminate what it isn't to start with. Not spelling or grammar mistakes because they would be red or green underlined and would appear 'permanently' until you corrected or ignored supposed errors and wouldn't just appear when you clicked on the text.
Nor can it be track and review because you would be getting red balloons in the margin area. It cannot either be hyperlinks because those would appear only if you had @ in an unbroken section of text, i.e. no spaces between words, or if you had right button of mouse down to hyperlink and made that section of text a hyperlink. Nor could it be hyperlink because that would turn the text blue also. Obviously, anyway, you would remember doing that if you had.
What you do not say though is, when you do a print preview does the blue line still appear, i.e. is it going to print out?
Now let us see what it could possibly be. Are you typing directly onto the page or have you created a text frame or added text to a rectangle? If you had, when selected, then a blue frame would appear, although this would be round the rectangle, not just as a line underneath. But it's worth thinking about.
What it could possibly be, and I want you to switch to Home menu - and then click on your blue underlined sections of text and have a look at the style gallery. And in this respect, you have many more than just the few shown on the ribbon, click on the downward arrow to the side of the styles group and you will see many, many more. Possibly you modified one of these styles and I am wondering if somehow you have formatted these sections by clicking on one of those styles which would automatically underline in blue. What I suggest you do is highlight all your text, the body text that is, not any headings or subheadings you may have created, and click on the Normal style icon - the first one. Does that make a difference?
However, on second thoughts, I doubt it is that because again, the blue line only appears, you say when you select that particular text. If none of this works, I hate being baffled and would appreciate it if perhaps you could take a picture of your document so we can see. In this respect, if you would like to click on my profile and then click on email, if you give me your email address in that message perhaps we can communicate directly and I will be able to help more.
