Is there an O gauge MARINE CORPS train set?
I would like to do a Marine Corps Train set. I have searched the internet for something like it. I have found other branch train set and I could use a Navy set but I haven't found one I like. I prefer O gauge (1/48 scale) but would consider other sizes.
Another option is are there any train sets out there that are made to be customized? You apply decals to the train to make it what you want. I could go that route too.
Two routes
Athearn made an army train, including several speciality cars, tank-carrying flats, movable artillery, etc. These are no longer in production, but are available at train and hobby shows. They were HO gauge.
The other alternative, get undecorated equipment, paint it in military green of camouflage, and you can make decals using a computer and special paper (see local train store) for either laser printer or inkjet. Laser is better - if you hae to use inkjet, let the decal sheet dry overnight.
