Behind the Scenes Catering & Events Named Top Sponsor for San Diego Wine & Food Festival to Benefit City of Hope
SAN DIEGO, CALIF (July 15, 2009) – Behind The Scenes Catering & Events (BTS) is a lead sponsor of City of Hope’s Wine & Food Festival on Sunday, August 9, 2009 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event is an evening of wine tasting and wonderful foods from favorite local eateries with a silent auction and live music, which will take place at the Coronado Civic Center overlooking Glorietta Bay. Hosted by the Women’s Council of San Diego County, the event supports City of Hope, a leading biomedical research, treatment and education institution for cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
In 2006, John Crisafulli, president of BTS, was honored by the City of Hope with the Ambassador of Hope distinction to recognize his dedication to the San Diego community and his tremendous support of City of Hope. Crisafulli, a lifelong San Diego resident, acquired BTS with his sister, Teresa Villa in 1992. Over the last 18 years, BTS has catered events including the Republican National Convention, Red Bull Air Races, ESPN X Games and PGA Golf Tournaments. BTS was recently selected the caterer for NBC Olympics Broadcasting and as the hospitality management company for four competition venues at the upcoming 2010Winter Olympics in Vancouver. After the passing of his sister Teresa from breast cancer, John remains a steadfast supporter of City of Hope.
