How do I light my scale model?
What are the best way to light my scale model? Should i have a blue background since my model is white?
You should look into a light tent if you are going to photograph small items frequently. Basically, it is a pop-open "box" made of a white/opaque fabric. As you light the tent from the outside, it diffuses the light giving the model inside a nice even light with no harsh shadow. Or if you know someone who has one you could ask to use theirs. I am not sure how much they cost but I think walmart even carries one.
You can put a long piece of posterboard (any color) in the tent and allow it to curve, don't bend it in half. This will look much better than with the crease and I think it also helps with shadow too.
