Dealing with the Rigors of Exterior Home Painting: How a Contractor Can Help
Homeowners often struggle with the idea of painting the exterior of their house. While this can be a daunting task for an inexperienced amateur, for a professional it is a piece of cake and should be no problem at all. With their training and experience in the field, contractors are able to provide their clients with excellent workmanship that leaves their house looking its very best.
Not only is exterior home painting difficult for those with no training, but it is also very important to the overall appearance of the house. A well-painted home will stand out much better than a poorly painted house. Nobody wants to live next door to an ugly house, so the paint job holds great importance to the homeowner. Having the job done poorly can be very embarrassing for the homeowner, so hiring the right person is essential to the success of the project. With exterior home painting, homeowners do not want to take chances, so going the safe route is always a popular choice. This will ensure that things get done right and on time.
When things are done in a timely manner, the project will seem much more manageable and enjoyable for the homeowner who may have been intimidated by the project to begin with. Alleviating some of the stress and hassle is part of the home contractor's job. They have been specially trained in dealing with complicated problems as they arise and may even be able to help avoid some of these problems. This helps to avoid delays and gets exterior home painting moving quickly so that the homeowner can enjoy their newly painted home as soon as possible.
Exterior home painting can actually be an enjoyable experience when things are clicking and everything is moving forward as it should. If the homeowner and the contractor establish and maintain a good working relationship, they will both be comfortable working on the project and will know what the other expects to accomplish through the project. With both parties on the same page, the possibilities are numerous and promising. The project will turn out looking much better than if the two practice poor communication and are never on the same page. When one party tries to dominate the project and call all the shots, the experience will usually turn sour.
The homeowner owns the house and it is their project when all is said and done. The home contractor should respect their wishes and should have their client's best interest in mind when making decisions and painting the house. On the other hand, the contractor has the experience and training and knows what to expect from these larger painting projects. The homeowner should respect their professional opinion and advice on certain matters. If the two show mutual respect for each other, the project will go smoothly and will not be delayed by silly complications. This will create an overall positive environment for working and will make the project an enjoyable job to be around that will leave the homeowner satisfied with their commitment to home improvement.

Train Depot home with no insulation(circa 1830). What about insulated paint additive?
Has any one ever used Thermilate or Insuladd addatives to paint? If so any plus or minus info. would be welcomed.
I don't want to open walls to detract from the structsure. Any reasonable suggestions also welcome. Thanks
I dont know if this will help you or not but here is a webpage with alot of info:http://www.thermilate.com/insulating_paint_additive.shtml
