Operating Principle of Hammer Mill
Hammer Mill comprises of a heavy duty Mild Steel fabricated body. The grinding chamber of hammer mill is lined with serrated wear plates, which protects the body from wear and tear. A balanced rotor in hammer mill with a set of Swing Hammers accelerates the grinding process. The screen classifier forms the lower half of the grinding chamber of hammer mill. The blower in hammer mill is driven on a separate shaft with the help of a 'v' belt adjustable driven from the rotor shaft.
Operating Principle of Hammer Mill
The material to be crushed enters the hammer mill through gravity feed hopper having an adjustable slide to control the feed material. The material is crushed between the hammers and serrated liners. A powerful blower in hammer mill continuously sucks the ground material through a screen classifier and conveyed through the pipe into the cyclone for bagging. The blower maintains constant airflow in the Hammer Mill chamber in order to obtain a cool product and continuously cleans the screens, thus increasing the output. Particle size of the ground material can be varied over a large range by using sieves with the desired openings of hammer mill.
Hammer Crusher is a kind of crushers used in mining, which crushes friable materials by direct impact against its rotating hammer.In Chinese, this crusher machine usually was called the hammer crusher. Because crusher means pulverizer, and mill means grinder in Chinese Opinion. So the name Hammer mill is used occasionally. It isn't easy and customly for us here.
Today by chance, I found the word hammermill , which is another form of hammer mill. I searched it and discover that there are a lot of people using it likely. This is something insteresting and we need to pay attention to. Maybe we need to try to speak the word for humoring the world!

Rail Car: Coast Trading Co. ??
An ancient looking hopper with faded Coast Trading Co. : Portland, Oregon paint on it rolled into Hamilton, On. this week, It is facinating to see vintage rolling stock from across the continent here. Anybody know the history of the company?? What period were they operating in?? FYI the reporting mark was CC (Chicago Central and Pacific)
I'll follow up Hoghead's comment with a little more info on the CC. He correctly identifies a predecessor of the Milwaukee Road. However, the Chicagi Central in question here was spun off from the Illinois Central Gulf in the late '80s. The ICG pared down to its core North/South system and sold its Chicago/Omaha line to this operator who called it the Chicago Central & Pacific. They made a marginal line very attractive again and the IC eventually bought them back. This is now part of the Canadian National System.
The CC bought a bunch of hoppers from leasing companes and stenciled them for the CC. This Coast Trading Co. hopper was probably owned by GE Credit, Pulman Leasing, or Trinity Leasing and only had the advertising for Coast Trading. I still see CC hoppers in Kansas City, although not very often. They used to be seen along the Gateway Western quite a bit as IC provided cars for the GWWR. Since KCS now owns them, they provide the cars.
