When the price of gas at the pumps and per barrel has reached a certain point, you can bet that some type of new, never before seen vehicle will suddenly surface. Then, once they hook everyone on the new car along with it's alternative energy operating source, the price at the pumps will plundge. Shortly thereafter, the old gas burning cars will be outlawed. The old pump and dump scheme is on the way!
