Truck Racks Aren’t Just for Contractors: 8 Ways to Use a Truck Rack
When most people think of truck racks, they envision contractor’s trucks -- often beat-up pickups with precariously mounted metal racks in their beds. While truck racks are well suited to a contractor’s needs, they are also very versatile, practical accessories with many different uses.

1. Hauling ladders and lumber.
As already noted, truck racks are the perfect solution for a contractor’s needs. Strong ladder racks provide a way to haul ladders and lumber horizontally without hanging them off the end of the bed. Painters, auto glass installers, and similar professionals may also find that truck racks make it easier to haul their equipment and supplies.
When purchased to suit a contractor’s needs, truck racks need to be very sturdy and reliable. Most likely a rack that features a permanent type of installation will work best for these purposes.
2. The cyclist’s best friend.
Cycling is a popular sport in many areas, but unless you have an awesome network of bike routes in your city, you probably have to drive to get to the trailheads. Therefore finding a way to haul bikes is an issue for many people.

what is wrong with my gun?
today i had purchased a remington 870 express super magnum from a local gun store and the guy who had sold it to me is a friend and wouldn't sell me a gun of poor quality and i went out shooting trap with it this afternoon when i got home and when i loaded my first shell in and shot it i tried to rack the slide back and it didn't budge, and i thought i already extraced it and looked down at my slide lock and the button was stuck inwards and i couldn't get it to work. after i spent about 5 minutes working the slide i finally got it open and i looked at the shell, the box, and the markings on the gun and they all matched the proper ammo i am supposed to be able to shoot. i was shooting Winchester super x target loads in 12ga. after i started having troubles i grabbed my dads semi auto shotgun and it shot fine. i am wondering for what reason this happened? i also shot off around 55 to 65 shells and it happened around 5-10 times.
I am a long time Alaskan hunter, trapper, and I build Match AR-15's. Shotguns are easy things to use.
First - all firearms are shipped with a thick protective coating of cosmoline to prevent rust. This coating usually requires several applications of rubbing alcohol to remove, and, then a good cleaning with a high quality gun oil. You always clean a new gun with a white rag, and, keep cleaning until nothing come out in the rag.
Another cause of this is people pulling back slightly on the pump as they fire. The brass part of the shell is suspose to expand when it goes off to seal gases - and it quickly contracts back to near original shape in a few milliseconds. IF you are pulling on the pump as you fire - it can cause the shell to back up a very little - just enough for the shell to expand in the wrong place and improperly contract. So - be sure you are not pulling on the pump when you fire!
Your shotgun was test fired at Remington several times before it was coated and packaged. You need to clean the hell out of it - and - be sure you are not cranking on the pump backward when firing. If these two things do not fix it - contact Remington. With luck - you may only have to send the barrel in and not the whole kit and kabottle.
And, if you do need to send it back - be sure to check out the Remington custom shop. See if there is anything you may want them to add on while it's there anyway!
