Wooden Swing Sets: Cedar vs. Pine
Before selecting and installing a wood swing set, it is important to plan properly according to the amount of space you have available to you, as well as the ground and environmental conditions in which the set will be used. The area on which your set will be installed should be an area with adequate storm water drainage. Proper drainage ensures that wood swing sets will not spend an inordinate amount of time in excessive moisture, which could compromise the integrity of the wood. Placing wood swing sets in a shaded area offers additional protection from the effects of UV rays. A cool, shady place protects the wood from the drying effects of the sun, and also protects plastic parts from fading and from becoming hot to the touch. (Look for features such as UV protection in all of Kid-Gymz's wood swing set models, which offers additional protection from fading and solar heat.) Provide adequate space around the playset for easy movement without risk of collisions with the equipment or other children playing on the equipment. A good rule of thumb is to have at least 6 feet of space on all sides of the playset. It may seem like common sense, but always install playsets in areas that offer a soft landing to children, such as a grassy yard or a large mulch pit. If you opt for an area of rubber or wood chips, make sure it is at least 6 inches deep for wood and 4 inches deep with rubber to provide adequate cushioning for jumps and falls from the equipment.

Can't find LED Christmas lights?
I look for these lights every year, but can't find them. Okay, at Home Depot they have an artificial tree on display with the purest, most piercing colors. Specifically, the gamut in this set includes purple and blue. After some searching, I have found that the model on display is the following:

I've tried a set of the Sylvania multi-colored LED with similar shaped bulbs as on their tree, but the colors are wrong (i.e. too much yellow and red and not enough on the blue/ purple end). Is this a case of a manufacturer making sure no real tree looks as good as their fake tree?
Try these...they have a lot of purple and blue.
