My wife and I always share in major purchase decisions. We have a 6 year old boys whose b'day is coming up.?
I want to get my son started in trains "o gauge" and expressed that to my wife. She in turn got some cheap battery operated set from her mom to give to him. She says he is too young for electric "o gauge", however the hobby man at the store told me not so as long as an adult is present. Now someone I know whats to sell me an O gauge LIONEL set for like 60 in really good condition. SHould I go behind my wife's back and buy it for him or ask her?
No, you should agree on a gift. She should give back the cheap train set since that's not what you want, and you two should pick another gift that your son would really like. It's just not worth the argument and you can get if for him when he's a little older. It will probably be cheaper then as well.
