Is this behavior normal?
This guy and I are both attracted to each other. We haven't done anything physical--just holding hands. We work in the same building and we sometimes get on the same elevator. One early morning, we happened to get in the same elevator. He started to hug me and all of a sudden he pulled his pants down to expose his genital organ and started talking dirty to me. I was shocked and didn't know what to think but I handled the situation well. I'm not a prude but is this normal?
NO.
No no no no no no no no no! That's not normal or healthy, and truthfully, you should be more than a little frightened. PLEASE don't get on an elevator (or anywhere else) alone with him again!
What he did is the mark of a sexual predator. He might be a perfectly decent human being in all other ways, but that kind of sexual deviance is an illness that can progress into much worse acts of sexual violence/violation.
You might have been okay with it, but that behavior can easily get him jailed. Moreover, if he finds that sort of thing exciting, or believes it's an appropriate way of showing affection or interest, he's likely going to do it again, or, what's more frightening, do something worse like full-out rape or other sexual assault.
Please please please report it to your boss or someone in the building, so they can be aware of this man and the danger he could present to someone else. Even if it didn't bother you, just think what it could be like if he does the same thing to someone else to whom he's attracted. NOT cool. : /
