Where can I find alignment (and other) specs for 1957 Ford Fairlane (Custom Fordor)?
I need alignment specs for a 1957 Ford Fairlane (technically, it's a Custom Fordor, not a Fairlane, but basically same car with stripped-down trim and interior, or so I've been told).
Need CASTER, CAMBER and TOE settings.
Please provide the source for your information if at all possible, as I'm desperate for a good source for technical information on this vehicle. I bought a CD-ROM on eBay that claimed to be a scanned copy of the original service manual, but it was just a huge parts list and exploded diagrams book. It did not include any tech specs. I looked for aftermarket books like from Chilton or Haynes, but either they don't go back that far or the places I checked only carry newer vehicle books. Can anybody recommend anything better?

Here's the stock specs:
Camber: 1/2º +/- 1/2º
Caster: 0º +/- 1/2º
Toe-in: 1/8" - 3/16"
Here's what I'd do on a modified car with power steering:
Camber: 0º to -1/2º
Caster: As much as you can get on the passenger side, and 1/4º less than that on the driver side. Hopefully there is enough adjustment to get +1-1/2º - 2º. More caster would be good with power steering but you probably can't get it without tubular control arms that have more caster built in. The reason for the extra 1/4º caster on the passenger side is this will help the car track straight on a crowned road. Some recommend a camber split instead of a caster split. All I can say there is I've always used caster split and it works.
Toe-in: 1/16" - 1/8". Radial tires like a little less toe-in than the originals.
