Where is the engine number on a 95 yamaha fzr 600?
Just bought a bike and the title asks for the "motorcycle engine number". I found an area behind the exhaust manifold in the front of the bike that says:
Y-1
XXXXX (These are letters/numbers)
599cm3
is the XXXXX the engine number or is it a longer letter/number combination somewhere else on the engine?
most yamaha engine numbers are stamp just above clutch cover.
this isn't your bike but look at the third picture down
