Wood Shed Building Kits For the DIY Homeowner in You
As a younger couple, my wife and I are new at many things and, as a result, we are learning on the fly. Many of these learning experiences go hand-in-hand with owning a new house. Every time something needs repair or replacement, the burning questions ultimately are always:
a. Can we take care of the problem ourselves?
or
b. Who do we call to fix/replace this?
If we can, we always want to try choice a. It is usually cheaper, and there is a sense of accomplishment when we can solve a problem together. Of course, to do things yourself, you need to have tools, which means you need to have storage for those tools.
So what am I getting at? It is time to investigate a wood shed building kit. I figure that if my wife and I can put together a dresser and entertainment center from IKEA, and our current gas grill, a wood shed should be a piece of cake!
Actually, this would be a challenging project, and would require a professional set of wood shed building kit plans. This would be the best alternative for saving time and money. A carpenter or contractor would charge way more than we need to spend, and my father is too busy to undertake this task at the present time. Having a comprehensive set of plans would cost a little bit of money up front, but would ultimately provide savings in the long run.
We have looked at pre-built wood sheds, and although they are nice, they are not in our current budget. Plus, the experience of building a wood shed together would be a great bonding opportunity for my wife and I (please hold your laughter here!).
I need to have a systematic, illustrated plan of attack before I can successfully attack most projects in life. A set of quality plans are just what the wood doctor ordered.

Has anyone any experience of building/driving a Kit Car, Caterham etc?
Really thinking of getting into kit cars with the father in law! Any advice on price, which model to go for etc, would be appreciated!

Not directly, but I remember an episode of Top Gear where J.C, Hamster & Capt. Slow had to try and build a Caterham in the time it took Stig to drive from the Caterham factory to Knockhill racing circuit ( which is in Scotland ) The three of them managed to get it from being a pile of boxes to a running car in about 6 hours or so, so if they can do it, anyone can!
