Are you a computer lover?
I would like to know what you would like to put in your computer.
The scenario is you can build your own computer, cost is not an issue. You can put what ever you like in the CPU, and choose any accessories that you would like.
My question though is for you to list down, what your ultimate computer would have. But the catch is list down detailed parts (If possible) and finally, to put an estimated cost of the system.
I'm doing some research into what I would need to get a good and reliable computer.
In building your own PC there are things that need to be answered before you start
1) what do you want to do with the PC
Ok that sounds a little silly, but if you just want to read an email and write a letter then you will get away with a "very low spec PC" if you want to be playing the new PC HD Games you need to think about what's going to come out next in PC gaming and build with good Graphic Processors and Motherboard Processors
2) Who is going to use the PC
Again may be silly but if more than one person then (we all know how easy it is to crack passwords and most XP login pages even to take owership of documents from other peoples accounts)
3) Video/DVD/Games/Photo's/ all these will need storage so the size of the hard drives is also something to think about, if you are like me and make small videos (15-45mins) they take up a lot of hard drive in the process15mins take about 225MB approx
once you have answers to such question then start with the motherboard - look for PCI slots AGI slot and get the biggest processor you can fit, get a very good graphic card and another good idea woud be to fit two hard drives, used the main C: for programs and working and the D: (other hard drive) for saving completed items such as Videos DVD's this way if you do have problems with programs you will not have problems with anything you have saved
Another good tip once you have your build PC up and running Motherboard - Graphic - Hard drives - DVD RW - DVD Rom - Ram - Operating System, use a program to "take a photo" of your hard drive so if you have problems you can restore back to first built stage
sorry I haven't put spec but your reseach in to what you want to do with such a PC will determin what you buy - (remember PC's are very dumb they only understand 0.1.) we all can build our own but with pc parts getting cheaper by the day most pc's come with more power that what we use
