American Express Air Miles Credit Card For Business
Canadian consumers have their personal American Express AIR MILES credit card for their personal purchase requirements. Also, employees of the Canadian federal government are issued with their own versions of the American Express AIR MILES credit card for use when traveling on official government business. Now, AMEX Bank of Canada also issues a distinct American Express AIR MILES credit card for small businesses.
The American Express AIR MILES card is a prestigious looking gold card, and provides small business owners with the twin advantages of American Express customer support and an AIR MILES reward collectors' package. The convenience of the American Express credit card also serves to help you with the various financing aspects of your small business.
Benefits
The combined power of the American Express AIR MILES credit card for business permits you to enjoy a double treat on the rewards benefits front. Your card will earn rewards when you use it for your purchases, but at the same time, you also earn rewards on your AIR MILES collector card.
To take advantage of this double treat, use your American Express AIR MILES card to pay for your purchases at any of the 9,600 participating sponsors of the AIR MILES program; at the same time, present your AIR MILES collector card for scanning. You pay only once via the American Express AIR MILES credit card, but you benefit twice: once on your AIR MILES card, and once on your American Express AIR MILES credit card.
You may ask for a maximum of 9 supplementary cards. Each one of these supplementary cards earns rewards miles, but all of the points accumulated will be credited only to the basic American Express AIR MILES card which you hold.
Finance Aspects
The American Express AIR MILES credit card for business does not have an annual fee. You can transfer balances from an existing credit card account into your American Express AIR MILES credit card at an APR of 3.99%. To avail yourself of this introductory APR, you have to affect the balance transfer during the first six months after your application was approved. Funds advances and new purchases will have a higher APR at 18.50% from the outset.
The low APR on these balance transfers to American Express AIR MILES credit card is conditional; if you miss making a payment during the introductory period, you lose all the benefits of low APR with the remaining amount on the transferred balance be subject to the normal APR for purchases.
Financial Management
The American Express AIR MILES credit card for business has optional features which can help you manage your financial records. One is the option to have an Annual Management Report prepared on all business spending charged to your American Express AIR MILES credit card, which includes the basic and all supplementary cards. This report gives you a whole-year summary of transactions that should be a great help in controlling expenses. The summary will also be useful when preparing your tax returns. This optional feature is available to you for a small fee of $24 per year.
The other useful option is a secure online account access. For instance, if you wish to know the exact amount you spent on a particular business trip, you can quickly find out online by accessing the My Account service.

Connecting through DFW and aircraft safety.?
2 part question.
First: I have to fly home in December and will be changing flights in Dallas with American Airlines. Is 1.5 hours enough time, or should I play it safe and take an earlier flight which would allow me over 2 hours between flights? I don't want to miss my connection.
Second: I have to fly on an S80 (Old MD-88, DC9). I am nervous about flying on such an aging aircraft. I have been a fearful flyer for a long time, and not sure if I will feel comfortable on such an aircraft for over 2 hours. Plus on my way back, from Dallas to Lubbock, I will be on a ATR-72 turboprop. My dad says those are far more reliable than the jets. Is this true or are these 2 aircrafts not safe to fly on? Should I go with maybe Continentl or Southwest since they use more Boeing aircrafts and have easier airports to connect in?
The MD-80/90 series aircraft is extremely safe. The hull loss rate (an accident in which the aircraft cannot be repaired) is only 0.48 per one million departures. That's comparable to several other commonly flown commercial aircraft, including some of Southwest and Continental's older aircraft. (Continental still flies some 737-300s and Southwest has 737-300s and -500s. Those aren't exactly brand new planes either.)
Even if the accident rate for the ATR is lower, you're talking about a statistically insignificant difference. A rate of 0.48 per one million departures is an extremely low number.
The only danger in flying in an MD-80 is going deaf if you sit by the engines. Avoid sitting in the rear if possible.
1.5 hours should be more than enough time to connect except in extreme circumstances, such as very bad weather.
